One of the venturers in our 2021 inaugural voyage will sail on Tall Ship Maybe again this year – this time as crew.
Bea missed out on the race to Spain with the Tall Ships in 2021 as it had to be cancelled owing to the pandemic. Instead she and 10 other young people sailed to the Scillies in a voyage described as ‘the best 10 days of my life’.
That experience stimulated Bea to explore a maritime career. She says:
“Sailing is a huge part of my life and I’ve learned so much in the last couple of years. I’ve met people from all over the world and been to breathtaking places I’ll never forget. Roseland Youth Sailing Trust gave me the opportunity to sail and it has changed my life. I’ve never been happier.”
Bea’s place aboard was sponsored by estate agents H Tiddy, who along with accountants Phillips Frith, St Just in Roseland Parish Council and St Mawes Sailing Club, supported the 2021 and 2022 voyages and are again sending a young person to sea in 2023.
